In my book there’s only one way to cheer up these cold, dark evenings and that’s with some warm, comfort food! And nothing does comfort like a pie! Meat, vegetable or fruit, we love them all. The tricky thing for me is finding the time to make and bake a pie in between getting home from work and before my taxi service starts! But now I’ve found the answer – Judge’s Deep Pie Maker. It’s as easy as a sandwich toaster. Just roll out your pastry (I use ready made, already rolled, but don’t tell anyone!), then with the template cutter, cut out the bottoms and lids, add your cooked (but cooled) filling and cook for about 15 minutes. Perfect!
Top Tip: for a quick and easy pie for Monday evening’s meal I use leftovers from the Sunday roast – delicious!
The great thing is that I can make a pie to pamper to each and everyone and I know exactly what’s in them. My eldest daughter is a vegetarian – her favourite is spinach and potato. On the other hand, my son is a real meat fiend but he has a peanut allergy so I’m always concerned about him eating shop bought pies as you’re never quite sure what’s in them.
To be honest, with the Judge Deep Pie Maker, making wholesome homemade pies has never been easier. I’d say, give it a go. It’s as easy as . . . well . . . pie!
